Product Summary
In collaboration with an industry leading fiber cement panel manufacturer, Fry Reglet designed a comprehensive trim system, specifically engineered for 5/16” fiber cement panels. This series of extruded aluminum trims provides a smooth, seamless, installation friendly system that is unparalleled in the fiber cement panel industry. Vertical and horizontal trims align perfectly and allow for panels to be installed according to the panel manufacturer’s prescribed fastener schedule without causing panel breakage or bowing. All trims are available in primed, clear anodized or factory powder coat, custom color or perfectly matched to the fiber cement panel manufacturer’s pre-finished color panels.
Construction and Materials
Fry Reglet Architectural Metals offers a range of trim systems designed for exterior applications. These systems are crafted from high-quality architectural metals, providing both aesthetic appeal and durable performance.
Construction and Materials
- Primary Material: The trim systems are primarily constructed from aluminum, a material chosen for its excellent corrosion resistance, lightweight properties, and versatility. Aluminum can be finished in various ways to achieve different looks and levels of protection.
- Forming and Manufacturing: Fry Reglet utilizes advanced manufacturing processes to form the aluminum into precise profiles. This includes techniques such as extrusion and roll-forming, which allow for the creation of complex shapes and consistent dimensions essential for a cohesive trim system.
-
Finishes: To enhance both appearance and durability, the aluminum components undergo various finishing treatments. These can include:
- Anodizing: This electrochemical process hardens the aluminum surface and provides a durable, attractive finish that is resistant to corrosion and wear. A wide range of anodized colors are typically available.
- Coil Coating: This involves applying a liquid or powder coating to aluminum coils before they are fabricated into trim pieces. Coil coating offers a broad spectrum of colors and can provide UV resistance and long-term color stability.
- System Design: The trim systems are engineered as integrated components. This means that individual pieces are designed to connect seamlessly with each other and with the siding or cladding they are intended to complement. This thoughtful design ensures ease of installation and a clean, professional finished appearance.
-
Performance Features: The construction of these trim systems often incorporates features that contribute to their performance:
- Weep Holes: Some profiles may be designed with integrated weep channels or incorporate features that facilitate drainage, helping to manage moisture behind the exterior cladding.
- Expansion and Contraction: The material and design are intended to accommodate natural expansion and contraction of building materials due to temperature fluctuations, preventing stress and potential damage.

Features and Benefits
The Fry Reglet Trim System is a collection of meticulously crafted architectural metal components that define edges, transitions, and reveals on building exteriors. These components serve as the crucial finishing elements that complement and protect various siding materials.- Sharp, Defined Lines: The primary feature of the Fry Reglet Trim System is its ability to create crisp, straight lines. This benefit translates into a refined and modern architectural appearance, providing a professional and intentional look to the building's facade. It allows designers and architects to precisely delineate different materials or areas of the exterior.
- Protection and Durability: Constructed from robust architectural metals, these trims offer superior protection against the elements. They act as a barrier against moisture ingress, impact, and UV degradation, extending the lifespan of the siding and the overall exterior envelope. This means less maintenance and fewer repair costs over time.
- Seamless Integration: The system is engineered for compatibility with a broad spectrum of siding materials, including but not limited to stucco, fiber cement, metal panels, and more. This adaptability ensures that the trims can be seamlessly integrated into various design schemes without compromising the intended aesthetic.
- Ease of Application: The components are designed with the installer in mind, facilitating straightforward and efficient installation. This ease of application reduces labor time and potential for installation errors, contributing to a smoother construction process and reliable results.
- Aesthetic Versatility: Available in various profiles and finishes, the Fry Reglet Trim System offers significant design flexibility. Whether aiming for a minimalist modern look or a more traditional aesthetic, specifiers can select trims that perfectly align with their vision, enhancing the building's curb appeal.
